ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
David Boone
David Boone was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Staples Canada ULC in January 2018. He is responsible for over 10,000 associates and the company’s retail and online operations, overseeing more than 300 stores and Staples.ca, which carries over 250,000 products. Boone is an experienced leader with a wealth of knowledge across multiple functional areas that include merchandising, marketing, data analytics and operations, and has had Profit and Loss responsibility for several multi-billion-dollar corporate divisions.

Demetre Eliopoulos
With more than 15 years in the market research industry, Demetre leads the Angus Reid research practice. As a seasoned expert in polling, Demetre has provided advice for hundreds of communications professionals and built insights programs that have yielded impactful results for some of North America’s largest organizations. Based in Toronto, Ontario, Demetre works with clients across North America in a wide array of sectors. Demetre is highly respected in for his ability to leverage public opinion to help his clients understand the current trends and forces that shape our landscape.

John Trougakos
John Trougakos is a Professor of Organizational Behavior and HR Management at the University of Toronto.  His research explores the dynamics of employees’ daily organizational life, seeking to provide insights into current organizational challenges as well as those of the rapidly evolving workplaces of the future. He focuses specifically on leadership, employee well-being, methods of working & productivity, emotional labour, and workplace social interactions. 

Andrew Au

Charlene Theodore
Charlene Theodore is Chief Inclusion Officer at McCarthy Tétrault. Committed to concrete action in advancing the Firm’s core mission to accelerate diversity, inclusion and corporate social responsibility, Charlene oversees McCarthy Tétrault’s award-winning Inclusion Now program. Charlene sits on the Firm’s Inclusion Now Council, an action-oriented governance model that leads the implementation of our EDI programs.
